This morning as I slather my 8 grain toast with homemade apple butter with a hint of lemon zest, I think about a few things:
1) I love my apple butter and I wish someone else in my family did. More for me, I guess!
2) Am I willing to really try going gluten free? --because this bread is really good.
3) I'm feeling a lot of gratitude for this little Internet space of mine. It's a bit quirky and you never know what you are going to get, but it IS me and such a nice outlet to express my creativity in whatever shape that is. And finding humor in the daily drama of my children would be considered creative, indeed (here is one of my very first posts in 2007...wook at my wittle babies). Five years of writing/crying/lamenting/celebrating/rejoicing is a long time to do something consistently and I think that is grand.
In honor of my 1,000th post...I am sending one of my lovely readers some Lavender that I picked and dried and put in this darling sachet. It really smells glorious...so from my heart to yours:) Just comment and I'll pick a lucky lady on Friday.
I've only reached 645 posts in 5 years. So your 1000 posts is fabulous. I'm glad you're still around and I'm determined to meet you in person some day. And I hope that everyone in your family is feeling well and good again.
