me and you

I was browsing through some old pictures when I found this. It is a picture Brianna drew when I was pregnant with Kai. So funny!!

I left a memory on cortney's blog..so I guess I am playing the game now. Pretty fun:)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, if it is recent or years old, silly or serious--anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Okay, my first memory is of me being pregnant, sitting on your couch and watching you nurse Kai, wondering if I could do that! :) That was the day we discovered we were both photographers... I too, remember the walk with Spike and Kai to pick up Brianna--but I don't remember being such a sight to behold--good thing I couldn't see myself! I do remember you coming to sit with me though, and bringing a basket of bed-ridden goodies for me when I was so pregnant I couldn't do much of anything. I have many memories of your excitement over a totally awesome picture you took. And plenty of you explaining how you "Always do..." something unique or specific with what ever it is we are discussing--everything has a special Carrie touch. I think my favorite memory, however, is in Bainbridge when we did facials with towels on our heads leaning over a cup of tea. :)

I remember when you were a few days away from having Kai and it was right around Christmas. We decided to go shopping for stocking-stuffers. I think I came along incase you went into labor but also because it was shopping! You were so intent on making it a good Christmas for Brianna and were a little stressed. All of the sudden, as you pushed your cart down an isle, you started shaking your booty to the store's music. I have never seen a cuter or funnier pregnant woman shaking "her thang". I still giggle when I think about it!!!!

Okay, so this is kind of just my memory of you because we were always coming and going but the last time you were at my house with the boys, I'm sure that you thought I was awkward and random in my goodbye but I was so sad that I was trying to be quick and efficient at that goodbye. I cried when I shut the door because I knew you were so good at helping mold, guide and look after my boys. You were always outside with them or playing games or making something when I knew you probably just felt like laying on the couch because you were pregnant and sick. And the pictures you took of them are still some of my most favorite in the world.
AND I will never forget the poem that you wrote for Luke.
Those aren't memories of me and you but I suppose we didn't actually get to hang out very much but never the less I have very fond memories of you and our family over the years.

well since we are just getting to know eachother i feel silly because we don't have as many wonderful memories as the ladies before me. anyways, aside from that, i think my favorite memory of you is when we went to see a movie just the ladies and when i dropped you off, we sat in the car and talked for ever. i remember being surprised when i looked at the clock and realized how late it was. it has been fun getting to know you and your family and hopefully there will be many memories to come.

One of my most favorite memories of you was watching you sing in your high school plays, Godspell and The Wizard of Oz. You were so happy doing what you dreamed, and I was never so proud of my sister expressing what she loved (I still feel this way).

Hi Carrie

I found your page through the Sassy Apron Swap.
I just had to click on that cute, bright picture of your little munchkins!

Love your blog and photographs (especially the lollipop gang!)I shall be back to visit.

Did you end up getting your apron from the swap?

Katie :)

Oh my gosh - one memory? My memories of you and me are probably a little more dusty than others - but I still have memories - girls camp, youth conferences, etc - but here are two of my faves: 1, it's a little fuzzy - but the Sunbury Ward building was being remodelled. You were the chorister, right? Well, I remember something about how the building's main color was teal, and you wore an outfit that clashed with the teal, and you may or may not have been a little bothered by their choice color? 2, I remember a youth conference (or RAD day?) in particular that a bunch of girls from my ward came back to my mom's house - and you came with us, even though you weren't supposed to. We had such a fun girl's night and felt like little mormon rebels for defying the system! My memories might not be huge and monumental, but you being such fun friends in our early years was!! Love ya!

I have too many fun memories! I'm having trouble choosing.
My favorite early memories are of the days when you, working full time with a toddler and newborn, would call me up to say "I can't function, please help me!". And Juli and I would come down (or maybe just me with the baby monitor), and I'd do your dishes or something and we'd talk. And, more often than not, we'd say "forget the housework and office work" and do something fun like put a pink tutu on my baby girl and take pictures. (I still love those pictures!) Or decide to re-decorate a room. Or cook something fantastic.

I remember the flowers from....
that we gave to your mom and those that we took back to the dorm...
and when Erin threw them away because she didn't really have that dark of humor. I also remember pissing you off by jumping into your feather bed right after you fluffed it. That and the orange fishnet that only you could make look amazing.

Believe it or not, I have quite a few memories now that I think about it......I remember when Josiah and I went out to visit that SVCC and met you at the dance and you tried to get us to dance but we didn't want to but you tried anyway. I remember when we went back up to visit Aaron and see the play that he was in with his girlfriend and it ended up being you and we were like, hey we know you. So we got to see you hiding under a piano during the play for some reason and giggling. After that I remember the times we went out to your apartment in Phenix City to eat and the one time we shot fireworks and the bag of fireworks lit on fire and shot everything off in our bag and we ran inside to hide. I remember the time when Aaron got a call at work that you were in the hospital and I drove him over there and we gave you a blessing. To be quite honest, a lot of your hospital visits during that time become a bit fuzzy, you were there, Brianna was there, you were there again, Aaron was there a few times. All i remember is a lot of visits up there and a lot of blessings!! I remember going to a real big fish concert with you and aaron before John and I headed out to Montana, I remember you taking pictures of Jess and I at Lake Bottom with our black shirts and jeans. I remember hearing that you were pregnant again with your second shortly before you moved out to Washington while we ate with you and Aaron at that Italian place that yall loved (it had the authentic italian food). I could put more memories and I could put even more of Aaron!! Quite a few left!! So if Aaron does one of these let me know!

I won't be doing one of these b/c I don't really care to feel bad as well!! I'd get 2 maybe!

Oh yeah, I remember driving out to the Washington DC temple when you and aaron were sealed and hearing aaron laugh when the sealer mentioned something about multiplying and replenishing the earth!! I remember driving Sis. Stroud up I-85 at 110 mph in the middle of the night trying to catch you when you went home for a family emergency. I remember Aaron singing you songs and our surprise graduation party. If I think of some others I'll come back!

Nick beat me to it.....but here are mine :)

The first time I ever meet you...at Nick's parents house you were round and ready to pop with Brianna and I remember seeing your wedding ring on your pinkie.....
don't ask me why I remember that part...kinda weird of me!!!

I remember when you and I worked at Casual Corner together and you went and bought some sexy lingerie at V.S. for Aaron on your break, I can't remember exactly what it was, I think it was a bright pink bra and something else that is probably inappropriate to mention!

Nick, also mentioned this but it was one that I was going to share. The pictures that you took of Nick and I at Lake Bottom I still have four of them framed and hanging in my house and they are still my favorite pictures of us!!

The Fourth of July party at my house and Aaron lit a bottle rocket and it hit you in the nose.... do you remember that? Those boys got out of control with those fireworks!!!

The suprise graduation party that we threw for Nick and Aaron. Really I remember how you did all the work and planning everything. I just helped set up a little bit!!! What a great job you did for the party!!

Oh yeah, I remember when Aaron hit you with the bottle rocket too. The look on your face was priceless!!!

I will always remember that the first time I met you it was at your house and it was the first time I met John too, thanks to ya'll scheming to keep me there!

I have great memories of get togethers at your house, eating and playing games.

My favorite memories are probably from our trip to New Orleans. That was so fun!!! I remember when we ate at Bubba Gump's and Aaron told them it was your birthday. They brought out some whip cream thing and you had to stand on a chair, or something like that. I have to dig up the pictures! I loved how you were always up for anything.

Miss you guys!

One of my favorites ... going to Silver Platter's together, pretending we were oh-so-cool looking at music and stuff. Except we had 3 kids between us and I was very pregnant. Ha! Red Robin afterward was a great idea. It must have been yours.

Oh, yes, and we'll always have Bainbridge :)

I remember when we all went to the Dave Matthews Concert in ATL and the guys next to us kept trying to pass us a joint.

I remember when we went to New Orleans and we went on the swamp tour and Brianna would not stop crying because all she would eat is bananas and she got constipated and you had to go into the bathroom with her for like an hour.

Also, in New Orleans, I remember we were all walking back to the hotel and when we passed bourbon street some girl flashed her boobs right in front of us and we all took off running and laughing.

I remember coming over to your house between classes at CSU and one time you made David and I chicken parmesan.yum yum....

I remember going over to your house on several occasions and you baking cookies for the boys.

These are just a few. We had some good times here in C-town.

The moment you basically attacked me after church and said, "You are one of us!" I will forever be grateful for the immediate friendships after moving far away from my old home.

Sorry it took me so long. I basically get to read blogs now while holding my baby. Commenting is harder now. I'm not a super fast one handed typist. :) I'm sure I'll get better.

I just found your blog while trying to reconnect with Pennsylvania church folks. You guys are hillarious. I am so glad you are doing so well!

I have a ton of memories, but they all lead up to August 16th 1998 - A day ten years ago for which I am eternally grateful. The impact of your influence and that of your family is eternal and I will always be thankful.

I am like what Just The Three Of Us said...it is hard to comment while holding a baby. I don't have many memories because sadly I didn't get to know you as well as I would have liked and now I hear you are moving. :( But, I still remember that when you first moved into the ward you gave an awesome talk. So awesome that I still remember that you did it. I remember thinking that I should tell you that at the time but I didn't because I am just shy like that. So I am telling you now, 3 years later. I really do think you are great.
