Nostalgic

If you've read my post on the farm before, then you know how sentimental I am about the place. We were able to go to Georgia this weekend for a quick trip (where I experienced an entire 13 hours of sleep--unbelievable). After I woke up from my glorious uninterrupted slumber, I decided to document the stuff that comforts all of our souls each visit. The ordinary. The simple. The beautiful. My husband's grandmother, Tudy (pronounced too-dee).

Sorry for the picture overload, but they are all so necessary.

Tudy is a player of solitaire if i have ever met one...
farm living room
I asked both my husband and sis-in-law what item in the house they recollect the fastest--this painting was the first thing that they both uttered. Oh I covet that lamp (there are 2)! And I just love the cord from the ceiling fan. A love for both baseball and farming, each of equal importance.

the closet
I love two things about this closet. 1) the spot on the jacket and 2) the pricetag still attached from atleast 20 years ago... (it is also a secret pathway into the other room)

the bedroom lamp
This lamp is located over the master bed and it's cord was pulled by many little hands the past 30+ years

Wow. You are so blessed to have married into such an amazing family. Grandma Tudy sounds like a personified human hug. Full of warmth, comfort and love.

Lucky, lucky, lucky.

Such amazing, amazing photography. I can see why the Honorable Mention from the I Heart Faces Contest came your way. You have an amazing eye. Reading this post was so much more incredible because I was able to see the world from your perspective.

Although it was only for a moment, I like the way you look at the world. We're following!

the last picture pulled at my heartstrings. I wish I had pictures of my grandma's home that was torn down a while back. Good job documenting these memories!
