Lots to Celebrate

Daddy is home from Utah AND the hospital! It's also back to school tomorrow for the kiddos, so I wanted to celebrate in style. I decided to break out the fine mismatched china and goblets (we won't go into why there are only three left) and make a lovely meal. My niece and her mama joined us as well.

The meal lasted an entire 5 minutes, but I hope it was worth it and that the kids remember our back-to-school tradition when they are older.

oh--and I can't take credit for the genius crown idea even though I had planned the dinner way before I read her post ....
nienie all the way.

We finished off the night with a healthy key lime cheesecake and Aaron gave them a father's blessing for the school year (a tradition). He is still so sick and could only stay at the table for 2 of the 5 minutes, but I am so grateful he is HERE and was able to do so.

Brianna is darling! I love the back to school crown and feast tradition! What a special way to kick off the school year! :)
Um... I so didn't hear you. I would have totally stopped if I had.. or would I? ;) I kid. I'm always at Target so I'm sure it will happen again. Maybe it will be me running to catch up to you, next time. :)

ps: Anthro makes me drool. I miss living next to a store. sigh...

Aaron looks tired even in the little corner of the picture. We are praying for him. Glad he's home!
