Okay, well, let's shake it up a bit

I have no idea who took this picture

My blog has officially become boring. I don't even like to come to it. It has been a bit hectic getting ready for this move and recovering from so much, so I havn't had much time to thoughtfully prepare the lovely and deep and hilarious blog posts I know you so desire.

And so,

Let's do something fun for a change, shall we?

Yes. That means a giveaway.

My farewell to sunny Florida.

Leave a comment with your favorite FLORIDA post (that means from October '08 to now) and you will be entered to win a box full of sunny goodness and random "I don't want to pack this but I don't want to have a garage sale either" stuff. And maybe a lovely print or two.....

Oh. this is so exciting!

But don't be all boring and say the last thing I posted. Shake it up a bit, my peeps!

You're so funny. Your husband is ill, you have two kids, you're packing up everything and selling your place and moving - and you're worried about your blog being boring. Look at mine, it's always boring. Even the background is boring, yet people still look at it from time to time ;-)

mary mary quite contrary..that does NOT count as an entry my dear:)

Do I get to have two favorites? Popsicles and Christmas decorating - those are mine. Has it really been a whole year?

Dancing Queen made me laugh! A year went fast here and there. Crazy!

Moving reeks havoc on blogging...how long have I had the same post up? BORING. I totally understand. You know when we were moving I almost did the same thing...I mean I had lots of little things that I didn't want to donate because I thought one of my friends might want it...but I didn't do it.

Anyway, my favorite post of yours that is semi-recent is the one about your father's radio. I liked the pictures and I liked the story. What more can I say?

Oh and are you going to drive or fly to Seattle? Seriously STAY AT OUR HOUSE!

Yes Carrie, you are sooooo lame for not writing on your blog more...I mean, it's not like you have anything going on in your life!:) But I have to say that I don't have any one specific one that's my favorite, it's all the ones when you were decorating. I am a horrible decorator and I loved how cute you made your house! The colors you worried about, hanging pictures, corners, etc. You made such a cute house and I'm sure the next place will but just as great!

Apparently I need to check out your decorating ones! I have only been reading for a few months. I think I found you through BBC and our common speech issues...anyway...

I really enjoyed your Virtuous Woman post. I know it was recent, but that's allowed, right?

I so hear you about wanting to get rid of things without the yard sale! When we moved last year I made MANY trips to Good Will, but there are some things you just want to go to a loving home. :)

A favorite? That's very hard to do. But I must say the birthday post/scavenger hunt for your husband was brilliant! I sure hope he appreciated all that work!

Wow. A favorite, eh? Well, I LOVED your last post about the Tuscan-themed wedding (was that in FL or GA?). It was enchanting. AND, I loved the post you wrote on "mean girls." Not that I love what was happening to your daughter but your perspective and the advise given has helped me with our own current situation.

Love you, girl!

slightly biased...my wedding shots were my favorite florida post(s). :)

i love your blog. for real. i love all your photos and spend most of my time daydreaming about one day taking photos as nice as yours!

my favorite post is (forgive me b/c i don't have time to look through your blog right now) the ugly betty orange hair one. i laughed for a long time about that one!

So, I was not going to enter in the contest because I live in Switzerland and shipping is just annoying. But, hey I guess you could ship something to my Mom's or MIL. ?

I love this post because it is totally blogger guilt. Your blog is fabulous and if you are not posting like you normally do, you have such great reasons.

After reading posts here and there, I have to say that my favorite post was your "Dear MS" You are so strong and an inspiration to me.

I talked to Nathan on Sunday and told him that we are practically blogger BFF's and he could not stop laughing. No coincidences!

Good luck packing. You can do it!

My favorite is "WHY" for oh-so-obvious reasons! (I mean, it's kind of a bitter sweet post, but it's pretty much wonderful for me. :) I love you!!

I really liked your "Ugly Betty" post. But my favorite would be the one about Aaron and how he said he would "rather walk in the rain than not walk at all". That was a very touching post. It tears me up thinking about it. Really.
You are one special lady. I feel so lucky to know you. :) Hugs.

i can't believe i still haven't met you - but i feel like i have through reading your blog! i am glad that Aaron is feeling better and i hope everything goes well with the move.

ok, my favorite post...when i read your entry about Kai and the kid that didn't want to play...my daughter Abby just loves so big and i cringe inside every time she goes up to someone at a park and wants to play and they look at her like she's crazy. I want to beat them up or yell at them and say "she's amazing! you would be so lucky". but i stand back, and i try to just feel her out for a reaction. but i am so scared for what 'real school' pre-k and kindergarten will do to that sweet spirit.

btw - i've been to Paris. it is amazing. sitting under the Eiffel Tower @ midnight eating crepes, watching the lights twinkle on the tower. it's maybe one of my favorite memories. you'll get there - and maybe the $$ will be above the euro?!

I think I am a little biased too, but I loved reading and seeing all the pictures from my chocolate birthday party! I can not believe I did not have my camera that night! It was such a sweet thing for you to do, and meant soooo much. Of course your writing makes me smile in all of your posts. Good luck with the move and the changes to come!

I loved your documenting all your crafty endeavors last Christmas. Your home looked so festive and lovely (sorry...probably doesn't make you feel any better about moving). Also the story about Aaron getting himself the very gift you were going to give him...sounds like something that would (and probably will someday) happen to me.

I love the one where you honored your father with all the memories. I'm so glad that you chose to remember the good times. It's so easy in our less than perfect lives and childhoods to focus on the negative but you "chose" to remember those wonderful things about your Dad.

I love the Christmas one too! Love all the craftiness and holiday feel. I also really liked the birthday surprise for your hubby! Still not sure how you pulled that off!

I absolutely love all of your posts, but the ones I really look forward to our all of your Strong Women posts. Why you may ask......pretty much because I can draw strength from other women. LOVE them! I hope you continue doing them!
