Oh where, oh where can it be?
With my patience worn thin as the cookies burn
This season is wearing on me.
Oh where, oh where did that ornament go?
Did Kai hide it again with glee?
While Brianna whines at the top of her lungs
We decorate without the merr-y.
I turn on some music with great Christmas hope
Like Santa fitting down the chimney.
But as I step on that ornament that my sweet boy broke
I pray for my sanity.
Come children! Let's gather and sing a tune
as we decorate our pretty tree.
But wait, leave my fragile nativity alone!
That'll be the death of me.
Oh where, oh where have the Christmas bells gone?
All I hear is frustration from me.
Quit fighting, dear children! Leave his toy alone
Please refrain from acting craz-y.
Stop jumping on the couch or you'll go on time-out
What? You better believe me!
Stop jumping on the couch or you'll go on time-out
What? You better believe me!
Oh crap, is that blood streaming down your leg?
Oh good- it's just chocolate on your knee.
Oh where, oh where are the sweet glowing lights?
Heart palpitations are all I feel and see
Oh where, oh where are the sweet glowing lights?
Heart palpitations are all I feel and see
Oh Christmas! Please wait while I gather my wits
And a prozac prescription, seriously.
It's now time for me to head off to bed
Dreams of sugarplums I hope I do see
My children are tucked all snug in their beds
Content that their Mom is nutt-y.

Yeah, that's why God made kids cute. Otherwise, they'd probably end up an endangered species.
My Christmas Spirit has been hard to find this year too! Every time I find a little bit of it, I smile and hold on to it for a sec before some other new frustration chases it away. All we can do is the best we can. :)
I hear you sister. It is amazing how something that is suppose to be joyful can turn into tears within minutes. That is when I try to concentrate really hard on why we celebrate in the first place. Our Lord! Merry Christmas! Be sure to bring a coat it is cold here in Georgia!
The package I sent you has two gifts. One to open just as soon as you get it and one to open on Christmas. They are both wrapped so if you open the mail envelope you won't know what you got. The one to open has "open" written on it.
Love you!
Jackie
That is so cute.
I remember many years like that. Waiting for the feeling of Christmas.
Beautiful post. Beautiful kids!
Merry Christmas.
My verification word:
mital
It may not be prozac, but maybe mital will help!
