Got Milk? Baby Shower

Milk!  It does a baby good.

Ridiculously fun baby shower.  I asked the guests to bring food that they love to drink with milk--and we got quite the selection!  The invitations that I made for this shower I posted about here.

As an activity, I had the guests participate in a "Got Milk? Photo Shoot" found HERE on my photo blog. Caution--you might want to bring some cookies to this wild party!

Milk'n in it for the camera, are we?!

I loved the take-home milk boxes filled with mini Milky Ways.  The template from the sweetest occasion is found here.

Baby bottles filled with milk and cute straws were our beverage of choice.

The star(s) of the show!
(This t-shirt was made for her using an iron on transfer)

I found these old milk bottle caps and milk maid playing cards on Etsy and made a banner.  I absolutely LOVE how they turned out and they were my inspiration for everything.

I really love the labels that I put on the bottles to differentiate the type of milk!
1% - "I care about the scale"
2% - "I don't care about the scale"
Chocolate % - "Screw the scale"

The goods that everyone brought!  Cereal, french toast, brownies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, scones (to name a few!) - quite the messy table after everyone devoured it, but you get the picture;)

pom-pom instructions found here

I used old milk bottles to hold the tulips and we used my grandmother's milk glass china. Gotta stick with the theme, you know?

It was great fun.

No crying over spilt milk here!
(really, could I be any more hilarious?)

***
*Special thanks to Tiffany for making the milk box favors and t-shirt!  And to my sister Abby for helping me decorate and refrain from having a nervous breakdown the night before;)

I love this idea and would love to do something similar. I am having trouble finding plain, low cost baby bottles for our cups. Remember where you got yours?
