Hong Kong {part 2}

In a Monastery.


 


Lots of escalators and stairs to go up the mountain.











One of the most interesting parts of the culture to me were these paper objects that were burned at the monastery so that those that had died could have them in the afterlife.  Things like paper cell phones, *bling*, money, food, (even lingerie!) were available to purchase to burn. :)

What an incredible place. I'd love to go somewhere like that and just sit and meditate and soak it all in! The pictures look beautiful.
