ode to my kitchenaid

you left me all alone

without a warning or a prayer

you left me without hope

without a "sorry" or "I care"

my memories with you are many

yet you left as though there were none

your motor died, my heart stood still

your last breath could not be undone

i remember each batch of cookies

that you mixed with such simple ease

even if I threw them all away

you made more with the aim to please

all the frosting, cakes and treats

batches of pizza dough, muffins, and bread

they all depended on you to be made

and now you've left them, gone and dead

oh, how will I go on?

what am I to do?

why must you leave me all alone?

when did you decide that we were through?

you leave me with no choice

i can no longer go on like this

i must say goodbye forever

i leave you with a kiss

now go on to kitchenaid heaven

i forgive your rash release

although you left me without warning

i say to you, "go in peace"

understand that what I must do now

that it would hurt you...is my last wish

it's time my life includes another

say hello to your big sis.

I covet the pink one! Now my kitchen is red, though, so it is out for me. I love my KitchenAid.

I am also letting you know that your very disorganized, very sorry apron swap partner (me) has sent your package. Please accept my heartfelt apologies. I hope it is worth the wait.

What a clever poet you are! I agree - Kitchenaids are the BEST, even though I'm still getting acquainted with mine. :-)
