PICK ME!

Go to SIMPLE MOM to find out why I want this printer. And now I'm going to tell you why I need this printer :

I'm a photographer. And a wife. And a mom. And a writer. And a sometimes decent cook. And although our move from Seattle to Tallahassee less than a month ago has delivered tremendous peace and happiness to our life, I am still myself, and with that brings a tiny-bit-o-drama.

During the unload of all our precious items deemed worthy to make the ridiculously long trip, I dropped our printer/fax machine. It broke into a thousand tiny pieces. Well, maybe only four pieces, but it was truly horrific. Last week we finally decided to order a new one. We searched and searched for the perfect one. It had to do everything and then some, like bring coffee (if only I drank coffee). Then we price-checked in stores and online and "horray!" we found a great price and it would ship quickly. We put the said order in and then slam--their system was down--try again later. So we did. 5 more times. FINALLY, it went through and we knew our new all-in-one fabulous printer was on it's way.

Then I went to Target. I found an amazing bookshelf for my kiddos for no joke--20 bucks. Regularly $129.00. Steal. In my cart. Then milk, and some chocolate chips, and oh another bookshelf on sale, and some clearance Halloween candy that no one would ever know about, and a coloring book? (my kids were with me), and finally my cart was on overload. I wheeled it to the checkout and had the super nice teenage boy employee wheel my 2 bookcases over, the gal scanned it, and then he decided to go ahead and go out there and wait while I finished and brought my car over. It was a fulfilling shopping trip until my card would not go through. What? I tried again. Nope. I tried credit. Nope. Oh my gosh--I knew how much was in my account this morning, so why in the HELL was my card not working?

I had to leave everything (so embarassing) and wave goodbye to the super nice teenage boy standing outside with my bookcases (even more embarrassing) and then quickly I called my bank. WHAT? What do you mean only &$%*&# was in there? I called Aaron when I got home and looked online..and there it was....we were charged 5 times for that stupid printer! And it's not a cheap one people. And I'm not insanely rich yet, so being charged five times was quite a big chunk of change.

So I called our bank who said they couldn't do anything unless we did not recieve the printers. Then I called the internet company and they said they had shipped and they could only refund the money if we refused the delivery (in 3-5 days). When the printers were returned to them they would process the refund, which could take 5-10 business days.

Oh for heavens sake! So that's why, my fellow bloggers I want and need this printer. So good luck to me:)

What a pain. I can't believe the stupid company didn't contact you about that order. I mean, even if you WERE going to buy FIVE printers, you wouldn't have placed five SEPERATE orders for them. I guess it saved you from eating that clearance Halloween candy though...
