Friday thoughts

Work has been super hectic -- as my lack of posting shows, I am sure.  But I did want to write down some thoughts that I have had this week that I don't want to forget.

Like

How much I love Fall.  It is my favorite time of year. It makes me want to breathe.

And how this recipe for pumpkin cinnamon rolls makes me swoon. And gain five pounds at the same time (well, that part doesn't make me swoon).

And how I am planning (thankfully with the help of some others) an amazing book baby shower.

And how my children's birthdays are so close that I better start figuring out what to do.  Don't you think Kai finally deserves a party with friends?  But it is so hard to plan because I don't have space in my home and it is cold outside. Suggestions of locations in December that don't cost anything?

And how I want to throw up at the cost of tickets from Seattle to Atlanta for a family of 4 during Christmas. And how I need to pray that the prices go down.

And how I have so much fabric without the time to make anything from it.  BUT, my darling daughter is stitching the cutest thing ever for her Gam-Mommy.

And how I need to hit the storage shed for our Halloween goodies.

And how I should have faith to deal with so much uncertainty right now, which is hard when we are going into the holidays.

And how I will be making THESE for wrapping our Christmas gifts.

And how I need a weekend off work.  And I need to hire an assistant so I can have it.

And how Mt. Rainier is absolutely breathtaking today.

And how layers of sweaters and scarves and socks make me one happy woman.

And how I love being a mama.

Because who my children are at this moment in time and all the times before,

I never want to forget.

Did you try Southwest for tickets? Tuesdays are usually the best day to check -- they either go up or down on that day, but we got like $60 off round trip from Monday to Tuesday . . . TWICE!!! Just keep checking -- and maybe even get creative in your routing.

And STOP with the whole baby shower thing!!! You're making me wish I hadn't just moved here and was actually getting one!!! :-)

I'm sick over ticket prices too :( I'm checking farecast.com everyday so I'll let you know if I see them go down at all...

I'm going to try the pumpkin cinnamon rolls. My husband loves pumpkin cake so this might be a good bet.

Thanks for the tips, and for the sweet post. I love autumn so much too. Now if only it would GET here! (I live in AZ. temps are still pretty much in the 100's)

Great thoughts. I can see you already are in full planning mode for the holidays!
Ticket prices are outrageous for sure - and be careful because they are even charging to check one bag on some airlines - seriously not fair in my opinion, I mean, you are traveling for heavens sakes!
The bows are SOOOO cute!
Ummm Did you say Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls?? Be right there - Oh my gosh I am getting fat just thinking about them!!

We are having a wii party for our 7-almost-8-year old. He doesn't get to play often so he is super excited for it. I figure I just need to buy lots of junk food and pizza and they can entertain themselves. Seriously, I feel like a genius. It might be my most relaxing and cheapest birthday party yet. Good luck with everything, it sounds like it is stressful right now.
