Letter Writing Craft

I almost didn't want to show you this idea because I thought, "mine.mine.mine"
But lucky for you, I have such a good heart.

I am a sucker for letter writing.  Do you remember that pen pal swap I did?  Too bad it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped:( Still,  there is something SO JOYFUL about writing and receiving a letter.  It was a huge part of my life when I was younger and I want that to be a part of my children's life (and mine again as well).

I have been thinking about that A LOT, and lo and behold I found this. A letter writing station! It looks so easy and I am positive that you could probably find a no-sew way to do this as well.  Brianna writes letters all the time, so this will be a gift to her and to our family.  I especially love the pocket for "prompts."

Can't wait to make my own!

**Also, is anyone interested in taking a go at the pen pal swap again?  Check out the details in my past post.

This is a GREAT idea! Writing letters is also something I treasure and is becoming a lost art.

Oh boy, I could've used this today when the kids wanted to help me write letters and kept asking me for envelopes and kept putting Liberty stamps on pieces of scrap paper and throwing them in our neighbor's driveway, good stuff ! Thanks for sharing!

I think it'd be fun.

If you give me someone cool.

haha, I've heard people say the same thing about visiting teaching. :)

Great idea and great post! I'm a letter writing junkie myself and love everything about the sincere and thoughtful art. Thanks for shining a light on it. I'd toss this into the discussion--www.thingsunsaidproject.wordpress.com. It's based in Illinois, but fascinating to me. As long as you've got the letter writing materials out, seems like a no brainer.
