Nutella Day

(source)

So folks, guess what?  World Nutella Day is in TWO days on Feb 5th.  Are you ready?

I AM.

And I have been since the moment I found out about it.

I decided to do something crazy this year and send some Nutella in the mail to some lucky girls.  I wish I could have sent a zillion packages, I do, but instead I could only pick a handful because is it just me or are postage rates just ridiculous?  These lucky ladies have/should receive 1 box to include a jar of Nutella, a spoon, and an invitation to a Nutella Day Party

Participation is key to making this day the nuttiest EVER.

The days activities should include, but are not limited to:

*Hiding in the bathroom with a spoon so that only YOU can consume it's glory.
*Making something delish using Nutella for your loved ones.
*Spooning with a friend ...aka...sharing or gifting your favorite gal with some of her own.

If you were one of the lucky Nutella recipients who got my package, you can also do what SHE did to pass the word along online.   Glory be.

Once you have celebrated the way you choose, come on back and post a comment (I might do a link-up) about what you did to make your (or another's) day bright.  Then we can all salivate and celebrate together. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

You're welcome.

I'm Carrie and I'm making the world a better place ~ one spoonful of Nutella at a time.

You are my kind of gal! We love Nutella in our house. My kids beg to be able to take it to school, but we restrict it to home consumption. My husband always eats it by the spoon.

Oh, we love nutella. I have used it to make fudge and brownies. This stuff is definitely amazing.

I have a confession. When my Nutella arrived in the mail today, even though it isn't quite the 5th of February, I totally ripped open the jar and had a spoonful, right there, sitting in the driveway, with the car still running, and the rest of the mail still a jumbled mess on my lap. It was a moment of heaven in an otherwise hectic afternoon. I PROMISE I've saved the rest of the jar and am making big plans for this Saturday. I have a few friends who are Nutella virgins... but come this Saturday, that's ALL about to change. (Yes housewife... it REALLY is that good!)

(Carrie... you're freakin awesome. Nothing beats receiving a little bit of unexpected love in your mailbox.)

Good thing I just picked up a new container tonight at the store :) What perfect timing! We're going to be doin' the crepe with nutella, banana and whipped cream gig around here tomorrow. And to think, we had that planned BEFORE I knew it was an official "holiday" :)

Nutella is the best!! We love it around here.
When my husband and I traveled around Europe a couple years ago we were surprised and delighted to find that it is a breakfast staple everywhere we went and they packaged it in little jars so we could take the goodness with us!! Yum!
Enjoy the day!!

Well Carrie, once again, I love your parties. I can't say I got real creative with it's consumption, because I don't like anything distracting me from the nutella itself. smothering a banana in it was about as genius as I got. A spoonful (okay, several spoons full) was absolutely heavenly. Ryan asked me if he could open my jar yesterday and I nearly screamed in protest. I had no idea I felt so strongly about it. In the end, I did give him a spoonful, but I fully intend to finish that jar off myself, sneakily. :) Oh, and Ryan looked at the label and asked me if I would like to know the caloric information. I declined, sternly. :) We're partying here! nutrition is not a priority.

I did it. I enjoyed some Nutella yesterday on graham crackers. I had plans of waffles with Nutella and bananas, but my kitchen was way too messy to consider cooking!

My friend introduced me to nutella a few years ago and I've been converting any nutella virgins ever since.

So I totally copied and shared with some friends. The giggles at their front doors were amazing. Their husbands' eyes full of wonder if she will really share this with him. It was fun to bring a laugh and a smile to someone.
