Pucker Up Party

I loved it I loved it I loved it. The weather was perfect, the lawn and garden lovely, and the lemon-y goodness abundant. There was a group going by that asked what our reason for the event was.

"It's a lemon party!" we shouted. "Just because," I said.

I used a lot of what I had so the cost could be minimal-- pitchers, vases, grandma's china, etc.
_DSC0019

I made lemon curd for all the girls to take home.
_DSC0008

We also had some yummy candy and these lovely hair/bag flowers that my friend Jenna made.
_DSC0090

I wanted balloons scattered throughout--and I loved the sense of whimsy that they added. Sitting on quilts was extra fun, too.

I think everyone loved the strawberry lemonade the best;)

One of my favorite details! My sister and I thrifted for pillow cases and fabric to make the napkins (she made them;) Then we added tags that spelled LEMON in different languages.

We needed some savory with so much lemon--so Cortney made these to die for snacks (saltines, bacon and parmesan baked) Who would have thought?

I used sheets for all the tablecloths--and I fell in love with this soft yellow floral the moment I saw it at the thrift store.

I used the matching pillowcase in the middle of the "take home table." Best part? This sheet set is definitely going in a future guest room!

Mo is seriously obsessed with lemons. She calls me and asks me what the current price if for them. She really loves them. You two are so similar it blows my mind. I like lemons well enough but I don't love them. Your party looks so fun though I would have loved to be there. The napkins are insane genius!

This is so fabulous! I do an annual summer party and this year I was thinking lemon themed, so I googled it and here you are! Great minds think alike, eh? I adore the handmade napkins, and the lemon curd favours. So decadent. Yet zingy. Find me in your followers! x

I really like how you stuck the food cards into lemons. cute and simple. (I'm always thinking of ideas for foodcards, especially if the party is outside, cause you have to worry about the wind sometimes)
