so I made this birthday cake for Kai. I know it looks really imperfect...but he loved it. When I had just frosted the head and ears with the chocolate frosting, Kai came in squeeling MON-EY! And so I knew that if a three year old could recognize what it was without a face, I was doing alright:)
and because I love her just as much...
(It was a hard day for her. Apparently, we only paid attention to Kai and it made her sad.)

Very cute cake! Happy Birthday Kai! Don't drive your mom too crazy!
Great job on the monkey cake!! I bet he LOVED it.
Carrie- The cake is awesome! Cute Kai--Happy Birthday, Buddy! Please give him a snuggle for us. Wow, three...we will be there in a couple of months. Maybe you can make Mcayden's cake too. :)
Your little tribute to him was so sweet. You're such an awesome mom.
Darling cake. I can't imagine the amount of time and effort that went into making it. I like to think that our kids will remember the laughter and our efforts to make their birthdays memorable, rather than any "imperfections" that might have come up.
(At least, I hope this is true for my sake!)
