he sings

a year ago you could not have convinced me that my son would be singing right now.  or that he would sing a lot.  or that he would love doing it.  or that he would call my MIL and sing to her on the phone. or that he would memorize the songs at school and sing to us at home. today it was...

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate

The first one said, "Oh my it's getting late."
The second one said, "There are witches in the air."
The third one said, "But I don't care."
The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run!"
The fifth one said, "It's only Halloween fun!"

a year ago you could not have convinced me that i would be so lucky to see and hear such an amazing thing transpire.

to see and know where he came from just a short while ago to where he is now.

to see and feel such confidence... knowing that he will be ready verbally and socially for kindergarten next year.

to see him thrive and speak and say things like, "I'm very disappointed, Mommy."

he sings.

Happy Weekend, my lovelies.

Oh, I hear you! I know your son is a bit older than Meghan, but I am absolutely amazed at where she has come since her third birthday...now four. She couldn't sing then or anything close...but now she sure does!

Yahoo! So happy for you and for your son. While my son does not have the same condition, I can understand what you may have gone through. My oldest has sensory integration disorder and boy has he come a long way from when he was born. I never thought I would survive or that he would. Now he is thriving.

That is soooo great!
That pumpkin song is one I used to sing with my kiddo's when they were very young. Brings back good memories!
Beach = Fantastic!!

My youngest is my slowest learner by far and hearing him finally start to get it brings all the more joy. After reading the post you linked to, it is wonderful to hear such great progression. Congrats.

(My kids love that rhyme. Like in a nonstop repetition sort of way.)
