Blog Countdown to Four Years (Day 2)

(Circa August 2009)

2009 was one of the hardest years of my life.  But such joy can come after the hardship, no?  We experienced some serious trials with Rowdy's health, a move back to Seattle after a short one year in Florida, and still tremendous peace during it all.

But looking back, that sadness was such a small part to a really fabulous year of growth.  Basically, is it crazy to say that I love almost everything I wrote about that year?
Because I do.

Hands down my favorite post was my birthday gift to Rowdy (a virtual scavenger hunt.)  I still give myself props for that amazing-ness.

There were the pictures I took at the farm.  They can't help but make me want to be there again.

And oh my goodness! I cannot forget when she turned my hair orange.

Good stuff, people.  Good stuff.

XOXO

Love, Love, Love the post on Friday May 22, for the orange hair!! I did that myself once and it certainly brought back some very funny memories!! Of course, I was not as brave as you and did not want the entire known world to see the orange hair! So, I re-dyed it and managed to turn it green!! Yeah, the things we go through in the name of beauty!!

I loved "she cried". It's so awesome for that sweet girl to feel such warmth and love in your home. That's the best compliment I can think of. I also loved reading the Strong Woman Spotlights.

July 26th, 2009. LOVE.
I'm so on a huge vintage kick right now and those pictures are so beautiful. I was going to decorate Ella's room in vintage, so maybe that's why I'm so big on it.

You're an amazing photographer.

May 2009 orange hair..so funny. I alwasy say...hiar grows...and hair color gets better and better...so the difference between a bad hair cut and a good one is a coupe of weeks.
