MS Walk 2011 {be there or be square}

Did you know my hunky husband has MS?

Let me enlighten you;)  It sucks.

BUT...

Doing the MS WALK last year and others before was absolutely invigorating to me.  To be a part of something that affected so many people as well as ourselves was a sight to behold. And I will do it again and again to help find a cure for my husband.

I feel good about Multiple Sclerosis this year (seriously can't believe I just said that.) Rowdy is strong and resilient and seems to have had no adverse effects like years past.  It is empowering to see and fills my heart with gratitude.  But I will also remember that his strength right now has not always been, and for that reason I fight for him and for millions of others by doing this walk.

If you are new here, my thoughts on MS above will give you a glimpse into what we have dealt with in the past, and what will remain in our life until a cure for Rowdy is found.

So, walk with me if you can.  Donate if you can.  Dream with me of a life without this disease if you can.  Just FIGHT against this with me if you can.

Here are some things you can do to get in on this great big group hug:

walk with me in Seattle on April 3rd.  join my team here.  at the end you'll get a hot dog.  don't you want a hot dog?  plus..what is more fun than hanging out with me?  really, I just don't have a clue.
walk wherever you are.  there are a zillion locations all over the US. you can make your own team as well!  we walk...because so many can't.
donate.  donate for research and support.  donate to raise awareness and find a cure.  (here is where every dollar goes.)
• Spread the word.  You're the coolest.

And thank you.  Oh so very much.

This is going to be a great year.  I can feel it.

I will be walking with my sister-in-law in Marysville/Tulalip. Do you like the hot dogs? They are so weird to me. More like spicy sausages and oh so red.

I have done the Breast Cancer Walk before and the girls used to do it every year with me. this sounds like a great cause too. I will check it out and see what I can find. You are right, it is a wonderful idea and a great way to help others.

My friend just did the MS walk here in AZ. And we just had Ethan's Run for Hope for Heart defects. It really is a wonderful sight to see so many people supporting one another in such a great cause. To be out there physically showing your determination and hope to fight such a battle is truly humbling and empowering at the same time.
I both hated and loved participating in Ethan's Run in memory of my baby girl. Hated that I was there without her, but loved that we were supporting others so they could win their fight against CHD.
With all my heart, I hope and pray that this will be a great year for you and that we will, one day, find a cure for this terrible disease.

I wish I could do the walk with you Carrie. I will still be healing from my c-section, but I am definitely going to donate. Some genius will find a cure, I just know it!

p.s. glad things are going good for him lately. when I thought that I might have MS, I felt like I was going to die, that my life was over. Aaron is so great at not letting it scare him into doing nothing, or shutting down. That's pretty awesome. also, he has a super amazing wife to keep him going. more than a little helpful I think.
