Remember how I wrote that inspiring weekend post about how I was going to smile and breathe deeply with all that a weekend promises to bring? Uhm. Ya.
Maybe I should have started on a different weekend.
I will spare the gritty details, but suffice it to say that I lost my cell phone at Michael's (thankfully it was found a few hours later), our dog did something that makes me so livid I cannot even write it, another soccer mom brought oranges on MY snack day, I made the worst Sunday Dinner to ever be eaten, and I didn't sleep much.
Still, I remembered that I didn't want to be a blog post hypocrite so I smiled a bunch throughout it all.
AND we did get some more decorating done. Is there a limit to Halloween spookiness? The kids and I went card stock crazy. I think they should have a support group. Hello. My name is Carrie. I'm a paper-holic.

There was one more kiddo in this bat family, but Kai decided that he needed to be eaten by some monster named John? And yes. I totally did these free hand. Just check out that bat's double wing! Is there an award for stuff like this?
This was such an easy craft to make. I simply took my tiny witch hat, candy corn, and ghost candy molds and used them to bake the clay. After that I used a black glossy paint as an undercoat for the pot and then grabbed my orange sequins stash and oh my gosh are you still reading this? Holy crows, people! I bought the dang tree.
There is just something about a skull. But there is something more about a skull coated in green glitter.
I really love bunting. Especially bunting that I can make in 25 minutes/aka using paper. Except the more I look at it the more I think it needs a paper rick-rack border. And THAT thought alone is when I know I need to get more sleep.
We hid eyes in the most unlikely of places. I'm not sure if this is cool or down-right weird, but the kiddos seem to think it is awesome.
And for my benefit, I told them the ghosts are always watching so they better be good.
What?
You wouldn't say that?
And that's our weekend wrap-up! How was yours?
***do you like my new signature? or is it totally lame 'cuz you know who this is already?

I love all the decorations but the eyes..I love the eyes the most.
Hopefully you got the worst weekend over with so you can embrace the rest and enjoy them even more by comparison. Right?
For some strange reason I always go cardstock crazy in October and November. I love the bats. Double wings and all.
The random eyes? Awesome. I might adopt that in my new house next Halloween.
You are amazing. I want to be you. One day I'll get close :)... yeah right! Anyways, I love the signature. Super cute.

Awesome!!! I love your taste so much!!!
Have funny to have eyes peeping throughout the house. Great work- I wonder what Christmas looks like at your house?
the eyeballs everywhere are awesome. Want to hear my confession? I don't decorate for Halloween. Ever. At all. But then, I don't really decorate for anything besides Christmas. In fact, my house isn't actually decorated much at all. I am such an odd ball.
I love this post. I laughed A LOT because that is how most of my weekends go, too! And my hubby is home!
First time poster here at your blog --- please keep it up! I'm enjoying the reads.
I like the signature. The eyes...they creep me out. :)
I am going to link this on my blog. I love your decorations. Thanks for the ideas!
